MVA Annual Member Meeting, Jan 10, 2023, Maui Ocean Center

MVA’s annual membership meeting will feature introductions to Mayor Richard Bisson, and South Maui Council Member Tom Cook. We will also recognize our outgoing South Maui Council Member Kelly King for her leadership on important Maalaea issues.  Our guest speaker will be Rob Weltman, Chair of the South Maui Community Plan Advisory Committee.

MVA wishes to thank everyone who registered and attended the Town Hall meeting on Beach Erosion.  The meeting had over 130 attendees.  We especially wish to thank all of the presenters, MVA members, guests, and Maui Ocean Center (for hosting the event).  Below are links to all of the slides that were shown at the event, plus links to press coverage and film of the meeting.

The next MVA meeting is a quarterly Membership Meeting, scheduled for 5:30pm on June 8, 2019 at the Maui Ocean Center, in the new Sphere.

The meeting will include an update on current MVA activities and the following guest speakers:

Tivoli Faaumu, Maui Police Department Chief of Police

  • Roz Baker, State Senator, South and West Maui District 6
  • Vernon Kalanihau, Ahupua’a Signage Program 

Also featured at the conclusion of the meeting will be a free showing of “Humpbacks of Hawaii” in the Sphere, courtesy of Maui Ocean Center.  Please join us in thanking Maui Ocean Center for their support for MVA and use of their new facility.

The next MVA meeting is a quarterly Membership Meeting, scheduled for 5:30pm on September 26, 2019 at the Maui Ocean Center, in the new Sphere.

The MVA quarterly membership meeting will include an update on current MVA activities and the following guest speaker:
Shan Tsutui, Senior Vice President of Operations, Mahi Pono 

Immediately following the meeting, Maui Ocean Center will present a free screening to meeting attendees of “Humpbacks of Hawaii” in the Dome theater.  Please join us in thanking MOC for hosting this meeting and providing MVA members with this wonderful showing.

Note:  while we normally share our aloha by serving refreshments at MVA meetings, Maui Ocean Center does not permit food or beverages in the Sphere.   Mahalo for your understanding.
